A. Marie Fisher, 85, of 255 Fisher Ave., Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born March 12, 1929 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late J. Earl and Mary R. (Dauberman) Miller. On June 19, 1948 she married Herman E. Fisher, who preceded her in death August 12, 2002. Together they celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Marie was a 1947 graduate of Mifflinburg high school.  She spent many years assisting her family with their meat processing business.  Marie also worked as a Sarah Coventry Jewelry demonstrator and at Bon-Ton wrapping gifts at Christmas time.

She was a member of Zion's Church of Kratzerville.

Marie loved spending time with family, most importantly her grandchildren.  She was fond of her many pets and took pride in cooking for her family.  Later in life, Marie enjoyed reading, doing jig saw puzzles and playing dominoes.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Darryl Dreese, of Mifflinburg; two sons and one daughter in law, Darryl and Janine Fisher, of Lewisburg and Dean Fisher and fiancé Karen Phillips, of Hummels Wharf; one sister, Dorothy Leinicke, of Missouri; one brother and sister-in-law, George Albert and Ruby Miller, of Maryland; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Miriam Belsky; and two brothers, J. Merrill and Norman Miller.

Friends will be received from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, PA 17837, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Marie’s name be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
