Albert James (“Jim”) Bachman, 81, of Muncy, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 24, 2019, at his home.
Born January 31, 1938 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Hazel (Philips) Bachman. On Dec. 8, 1956 he married the former Deanna M. Haas, who survives. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Albert was a 1956 graduate of Watsontown High School. He did upholstery from his home for most of his life, learning the trade at the former Isaac Decker’s, Montgomery.
He was a member of the Muncy Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the Bible with others.
Albert loved hunting, especially traveling to Colorado, and farming.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, James M. Bachman, of Muncy; a brother, Charles Bachman, of Muncy; and four sisters, Laura Whiting, of Liberty, PA, Gloria Davenport, of Michigan, Sarah Whitmoyer, of Watsontown, PA and Clara Wertman, of Muncy, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 20 in the Muncy Cemetery.
The family is also planning a memorial service to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2325 Route 405 Hwy., Muncy, with Jerome Floyd, officiating.
