Albert H. Vanhoute

June 25, 1940 — October 28, 2015

Albert H. VanHoute, 75, of 8015 Susquehanna Trail, Muncy, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home.

Born June 25, 1940 in Arcadia, NY, he was a son of the late Levinus and Dora (Porter) VanHoute. He and his wife, the former Joan L. Reynolds, celebrated 45 years of marriage before her death  January 17, 2009.

Albert worked as a welder at the former CECO Corp/ New Columbia Joist, New Columbia. Previously he farmed on the Kepler Brothers Farm, Milton.

Albert was a member of the Watsontown Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Local 822 Iron Workers Union.

An avid outdoorsman, Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and walking. He was fond of shopping at yard sales and playing bingo. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Lisa VanHoute, of Muncy and David and Patty VanHoute, of Watsontown; two sisters, Margaret Tuper, of Lyons, NY and Joan VanHoute, of Geneva, NY; four grandchildren, Angelica, Zach, Angus and Bailey VanHoute; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Levinus VanHoute.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. James Ritter.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
