Alberta D. Pysher

Alberta D. Pysher, 93, a longtime resident of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Rose View Center, Williamsport.

She was born on April 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie (Canada) Dewalt.  Alberta and her husband, Myers C. Pysher, were married in March of 1948 and celebrated 37 years of marriage before his death in June of 1985.

Alberta was a graduate Montgomery-Clinton High School.  She retired as a custodian from the Montgomery Area School District in 2001.

Alberta was a member of St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church, Montgomery.

She was very well known for her candy making, especially her famous mints.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William and Penny Pysher, of Allenwood; two daughters, Ellen Louise Lorson, of Collomsville and Janice Ann Snee, of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Lehman and Peggy Dewalt, of Montgomery; her special niece, Donna J. Miller, of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Steven and Shawn Pysher, and Chris, Scott, Tim and Nick Lorson, and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Viking Dietrich, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Alberta’s name be made to the kitchen fund at St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, 196 Brick Church Rd., Montgomery, PA 17752.

The family would also like to send a special thank-you to the staff at Rose View Center for their affectionate care given to Alberta.
