Allen K. Schrader

Allen K. Schrader, 74, of Danville, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born June 27, 1940 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Samuel B. and Mary Leah (Taylor) Schrader.
Allen resided at his family’s home in Lewisburg until the death of his mother. He then was a resident of the former Showers House, Watsontown, Hope Enterprise, Bloomsburg and most recently at Grandview Health Homes, Danville.
He enjoyed watching baseball and listening to music.
Allen was gentle, affectionate and loving.
Allen is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Samuel B. Schrader, II and C. Dale Schrader, Sr.; and one sister, Phyllis Walker.
Services will be held privately.
The family suggests contributions in Allen’s name be made to The ARC of Pennsylvania, Executive House 101, South Second St. Suit 8 Harrisburg, PA 17101.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation for the loving and compassionate care Allen received from the staff at all of his residences, the CMSU Behavioral Health/Developmental Services, and most recently, the ICU at Geisinger Medical Center.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St. Lewisburg.
