Ann Guth, 81, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown.
Born June 25, 1942, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Viola (Hardvick) Kates. On May 9, 1959, she married Robert F. Guth, Jr. who preceded her in death on April 20, 2008. Together they celebrated nearly 49 years of marriage.
Ann was a member of St Paul’s UCC, Northampton and frequently attended the Cherryville Senior Center.
She enjoyed making quilts for her family and friends as well as donating some to the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. She also enjoyed many trips to the casino, where she would always “lose her shirt”.
Most importantly, Ann loved her family and cherished all of the time they spent together.
Surviving are her children, Anna Zsigovits and her husband, Barry, of Whitehall, Robert Guth III and his wife, Terry, of Watsontown, Maryanne Keiper and her husband, Barry, of Fleetwood and Karen Zemlansky and her husband, Keith, of Coplay; one brother, Butch Kates and his wife, Liz, of Florida; one sister, Patricia VanLuvanee and her husband, Jerry, of Northampton; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her Chihuahua, Simon.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by six brothers, Alan, Raymond, Sonny, Bill, Larry and Richard and one sister, Viola Bachert.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24 at Brubaker Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut Street Coplay, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joel Biggers, officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
