Arlene June Geiswite

Arlene June Geiswite, 72, of 1110 Edison Avenue, Sunbury, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home.

She was born January 21, 1943 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Frances (Campbell) Bennett. Arlene and her husband, Harry Geiswite, who survives, were married February 9, 1973 and celebrated 42 years together.

She was a 1961 graduate of Milton High School and worked many years as a nursing assistant at Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly Kramm Nursing Home.  Arlene later worked at Bonanza Restaurant, New Columbia and retired from Eagle Janitorial, Williamsport.

She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Sunbury, and formerly attended in Milton.

Arlene enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and loved spending quality time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Emanuel Geiswite and his fiance, Sherry Paul, and Daniel Hill, all of Port Trevorton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jamie Geiswite, of Sunbury, and Cindy and Tim Lohr, of Mifflinburg; seven grandchildren Keyondra, Delfina, Abigail, Makayla and Brianna Lohr, Kaden Rodriguez, Mason Lusk and Malachi Daniel Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by two brothers, John H. and Cyrus L. Bennett; and one niece, Bethann Bennett.

Friends will be received 11 a.m. to Noon Monday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at Noon with Maj. Sharon Cupp, of the Salvation Army, Sunbury, officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
