Barbara K. Fenstermacher

Barbara K. Fenstermacher, 78, of Hughesville, died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Williamsport North.

Born March 21, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ernest D. and Beatrice H. (Parsons) Edkin. She and her husband, Timothy R. Fenstermacher, celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his death on April 29, 2021.

Barbara was a graduate of Hughesville High School. She previously worked at the Gap and as an assistant manager at Kay Jewelers, for many years. Barbara also worked part-time at Katie’s Country Store, Muncy Valley. She enjoyed taking the time to raise her family and in later years caring for her parents and husband.

She was a lifetime member of Point Bethel United Methodist Church, Hughesville. Barbara served on the Board of Elections in different positions for Shrewsbury Township for many years.

Barbara loved painting and spending time with her cats. She had an impressive and creative way of wrapping presents.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Tim S. and Beata Fenstermacher, of Hughesville; two grandchildren, Caroline M. Fenstermacher and Matthew P. Bosy and his wife, Reilly A.; and one great-grandson, Nico B. Bosy.

Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. GayAnn Gearhart, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Picture Rocks Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Barbara’s name be made to either the Point Bethel United Methodist Church, 889 B. Rock Run Rd., Hughesville, PA 17737 or to Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
