Barbara A. Koch, 86, formerly of Montgomery, died on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at her daughter’s home.

Born January 24, 1939 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Hess) Delsite. On November 10, 1984 she married Howard A. Koch, who predeceased her April 22, 2001. Together they celebrated 16 years of marriage.

Having a passion for cooking, Barbara served as a cook for a number local restaurants, including, The Muncy Diner, The Basket Diner, White Deer Golf Course, Janice K’s Diner, Dave’s Family Restaurant and the Muncy American Legion.

She enjoyed going to casinos, baking wedding cakes, camping at Treasure Lake, hunting with her husband, and traveling with the Senior Travelers.

Most importantly, Barbara cherished spending time with her family. She loved playing cards on Saturday nights with her children and cooking large dinners for her family.

Surviving are eight children, Deb Shaffer, Dawn Hill, Chuck Koch, Robin Perchinski, Dave Koch, Tammy (Brad) Masser, Billy (Pam) Koch and Tiffany Palafox; four siblings, Wanda Sue Cox, Dennis Delsite, Sr., Donald Delsite, Sr. and Nancy Sessaman; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a two brothers, Bill and Robert Delsite; two sisters, Shirley Knarr and Dorothy Mae Heimbach and son-in-law, Paul Shaffer.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Grenoble Funeral Home & Crematory, 308 Main St. Watsontown where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Moore, officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
