Beatrice M. Bieber, 89, formerly of Pepper Street, Muncy, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Montgomery.

Born January 9, 1927 in Delaware Twp., Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence R. and Laura (Heintzelman) Mincemoyer.  On January 26, 1947, she married Robert L. Bieber, who died March 30, 2007. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Beatrice received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Bloomsburg University in Elementary Education. She was a teacher at East Lycoming School district for 21 years.

She was a member of Clinton Baptist Church, Montgomery, where she sang in the choir.

Beatrice was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the PSEA and the PASR.

She enjoyed reading, puzzles and growing flowers.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Sherry Bieber, of Muncy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Ken McClintock and Beverly and Jim Koziol, all of Montgomery; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Thelma Haught, of Allenwood and Dorothy and Henry Gordner, of Jersey Shore; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 with her brother-in-law, Dr. Carl D. Bieber, officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
