Beatrice I. Dewalt

November 24, 1930 — October 30, 2017

Beatrice I. Dewalt, 86, a longtime resident of Milton, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Milton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 24, 1930, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Alan Leroy and Jennie Mae (Phillips) McCollin.  She married Elmer Dewalt on May 20, 1950 and together they celebrated 51 years of marriage until his passing on November 5, 2001.

Beatrice was of the Christian Faith.

She spent her early years working on the family farm.  Beatrice loved when her family spent time at the farm enjoying her excellent baked goods and meals.

She also enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by one son, Tom McCollin, three grandchildren, Cory Dewalt, and Jennifer and David McCollin; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, L. Eugene Dewalt; two brothers, Edward McCollin, in infancy, and John McCollin; and five sisters, Shirley and Ruth Derr, Helen Lindaur, and Eleanor and Jean Ryan.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon Friday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at Noon with Rev. John E. Lee, retired United Methodist minister, officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Beatrice’s name be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
