Bertha L. Reynolds

August 28, 1940 — March 19, 2016

Bertha L. Reynolds, 75, of 200 E. Ninth St., Watsontown, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 28, 1940 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Cyrus Gervase and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Staggert.

Bertha worked as a dietary aide at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, for 10 years before moving to Delaware, where she worked at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

She was of Christian faith.

Bertha enjoyed reading and going to the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Donald W. and Alberta Reynolds, of Watsontown and John L. Reynolds, of Fort Drum, NY; five daughters, Georgeanna Dymeck, of Williamsport, Mary J. Killian, of Bethany Beach, Del., Brenda and Jack Miller, of Danville, Sally and Terry Ryan, of Turbotville and Joani and Josh Bower, of Watsontown; one brother, Clinton and Betty Staggert, of Muncy; two sisters, Roseanna Dantonio, of Allenwood and Flo Campbell, of Hughesville; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Robert J. Reynolds, who died Oct. 24, 1990; two grandchildren, Terry L. Ryan II, who died Jul. 25, 2010 and Tiffanni M. Ryan, who died Sep. 9, 2010; and two sisters, Eva Stryker and Margaret Ryan.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
