Betty Jane Farley, 90, of Allenwood, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born October 20, 1925 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Campbell) Winters. Betty and her husband, Carl A Farley, Sr., celebrated 58 years of marriage before his death on March 18, 2007.
Betty attended the former Oak Grove school.
She was a member of Elimsport United Methodist Church, where she sang many years in the choir.
Betty was a member of the Watsontown Chapter #282 Order of the Eastern Star and actively involved in her homemakers group.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Farley II and his companion, Lori Spaid, of Allenwood and William Farley, of Watsontown; one daughter, Cathy Hill, of Allenwood; one sister, Ruth James, of Williamsport; eight grandchildren, Chad and Leanda Hill, Clint, Carlynn, Codey, Colton, Amber, and Jonathan Farley; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ammon and Pete Winters; one son-in-law, Daniel Hill; and one granddaughter, Vanna.
The family is planning a celebration of life service to be held Friday, June 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Elimsport United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 16145 State Rt. 44, Allenwood.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St. Williamsport, PA 17701 or online at https://donate.cancer.org.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
