Betty I. Ranck

Betty I. Ranck, 86, formerly of Hester Drive, Watsontown, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Milton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born March 13, 1929 in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Leona (Brass) Klinefelter.  On October 17, 1948 she married Forrest H. Ranck and celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death November 29, 2008.

Betty was a graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She spent most of her life raising her family and taking care of her home.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Montgomery. Being very active in the church, Betty sang in the choir and was a part of the United Methodist Women. She also loved to cook meals for the church.

Betty was an avid sewer and seamstress having made several bridal gowns over the years.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Doyle and Ruth Ranck, of New Columbia, Daniel Ranck, of Virginia Beach, VA, Donald and Robyn Ranck, of Allenwood, and Dwayne and Sharon Ranck, of Montgomery; one daughter and son-in-law, Dierdre and Ronnie Combs, of LaPorte, IN; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Barbara and Ralph Ranck, of Montgomery, Lois Lehman, of Montoursville and Carolyn Hill, of Cherokee, NC; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Bill, Jim, Dick and Webb Klinefelter and two sisters, Elizabeth Sellers and Helen Ravert.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy and again from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. with her minister, Pastor Virginia Bailey, officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 41 W Houston Ave, Montgomery, PA 17752.
