Bonnie J. Day, 82, of Watsontown, died on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born July 4, 1942 in Lewisburg to the late Samuel and Ruth (McCollin) Derr. On August 28, 1959 she married Jack L. Day who predeceased her on January 6, 2008.
Bonnie was a graduate of Watsontown High School. She worked at the former Montgomery Mills, Masonite, and the old convenience store in New Columbia, now Short Stop.
She was a member for over 25 years in the Auxiliary of the Clyde Mowrer American Legion Post 323, Watsontown. Bonnie enjoyed all kinds of puzzle books and coloring to keep her busy.
Surviving are five children, Kim Merritt and her husband, Willie, of Milton, David Day and his companion, Peggy Fornwalt, of Muncy, Vickie Walker, of Montandon, Tony Day and his wife, Lori, of White Deer, and Dennis Day and his companion, Judy Fry, of Watsontown; three sisters, Patricia Davis, of Hughesville, Linda Davis, of Turbotville, and Sherrian Moyer and her husband, David, of N.C.; five grandchildren, Kara Day, Eric Day, Dorothy Day, Joshua Walker and Gary Walker Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Beachel, Gavin Haas, Jackson Walker, Wayland Walker and Octavia Walker; and one great-great grandchild due in July of 2025.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, William Moser.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble Funeral Home & Crematory, 308 Main St. Watsontown.
