Bonnie M. Kline

December 31, 1927 — October 15, 2014

Bonnie M. Kline, 86, of Lewisburg, was welcomed into Glory by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born December 31, 1927 in Lebanon, TN a daughter of the late Charlie and Allie (Brown) Hobbs. On February 15, 1946 she married Richard Kline, who survives. Together they celebrated 68 years of marriage.

Bonnie was a former member of Mt Bethel UCC, McClure, where she taught Sunday School and ladies Bible study.  She most recently attended Brown's United Methodist Church of Richfield.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She spent most of her life raising and tending to her family.  An excellent seamstress, she also was a wonderful cook and baker and was well-known for her southern hospitality.  Bonnie welcomed everyone she met, whether new guests or longtime friends, who often enjoyed memorable meals surrounded by the warmth of the family home she lovingly created and nurtured. She did everything she could to help other people, as was evident by the large number of charities she supported faithfully for many years.  She was fond of wildlife, cross stitching and gardening, especially flowers.  Above all, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lynne and Dr. William Leipold, of Enosburg Falls, VT, Marlene Kline, of New Milford, CT, Cheryl and Dr. Alan Rothenberg, of Ivins, UT and Crystal and Paul King, of Milton; seven grandchildren, Susan Johnson and husband, Michael of Claremont, NH;, Laura Leipold of Gastonia, SC; Rachel and Andrea Rothenberg of Ivins, UT; and Katelyn, Ryan and Bailey King of Milton; and two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Justin Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Janie L. Carter.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Bonnie's memory be made to the following: Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837; Northumberland Christian School, 351 5th Street, Northumberland, PA 17857 (online donations may be made at www.norrychristian.net); or Running Strong for American Indian Youth, 8301 Richmond Highway, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22309 (online donations may be made at www.indianyouth.org).
