Carl A. Buck Sr., 93, of Montgomery, died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his home.
Born November 21, 1925 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Willard and Selma (Lawson) Buck.
Carl was a graduate of the Clinton Montgomery High School. He served honorably with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Carl worked for many years with the former Reading Railroad in various positions, retiring as a brakeman.
Carl was a member of the Bower-Decker Post 251 American Legion, Montgomery, VFW Post 743, Montgomery, the Bloomsburg Moose, Elks Lodge 754, Danville and the Elbow Fish and Game Club.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time at his river lot in Montgomery. Carl also loved traveling when he was younger and was a fan of Penn State football.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Carl A. Jr. and Mary Buck, of Montgomery; a daughter, Debra Mills, of Watsontown; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Beverly A. (Taylor) Buck; his second wife, Erma (Hampe) Buck; three children, Jeffery Van Buck, and twins Terry Lynn Buck and Linda Huffman; and one brother, Eugene Buck.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m.
Burial with full military honors will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to the Disabled American Vets online at secure.dav.org/donate.
