Carl L. Reese, 72, of Lewisburg, was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born September 17, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Carroll and Viola (Eckert) Reese. On April 4, 1992 he married the former L. Jean Mowery, who survives. Together they celebrated 23 years of marriage.
Carl worked many years as a car salesman at various local dealerships. Most recently he was a van driver for Albright Care Services at Riverwoods, Lewisburg and for Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
He attended and participated in fellowship at the Reformed Baptist Church, Lewisburg, for the past five years. Carl loved his pet dogs and cats, but his family meant the world to him. And, he always loved to entertain people with his many life stories.
Carl was a proud member of the NRA and a civil war buff. He enjoyed hunting and watching sports, especially NASCAR and his beloved Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Kimberly Marie Alls, of Maryland, Michael Carl Floyd Reese, of Colorado and Carlyn Reese Castellano, and husband Vito, of Maryland; four stepchildren, Jody Cundiff, of Virginia, Jamie Yates, of Texas, Steve Fenstermacher, and wife Sandy, of Waynesburg and Julie Black, and husband Bryan, of Lewisburg; seven brothers, Alan, Larry, Gordon, Michael, Garry, John and Arthur; four sisters, Mary Jane, Sharon, Terry and Doris; six grandchildren, Jordan, Adam and Samuel Alls, Jesse Reese, and Nicolas and Andrew Castellano; eleven step grandchildren, Joseph, Reilley, Nathan, Cory, Brittni, Michelle, Robert, Garrett, Aleah, Matthew, Morgan; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Edith Reese; and one sister, Marlene.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reformed Baptist Church, 830 Buffalo Rd, Lewisburg, PA 17837, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with his pastors, Les Clemens, Rod Conner and Bob Gray, officiating.
A graveside committal service will be held at 3 p.m. in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Carl’s memory be made to the Reformed Baptist Church, 830 Buffalo Rd, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Arrangements are being handled by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St. Lewisburg.
