Carol S. Fry

Carol S. Fry, 64, of Muncy, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at her home.

Born February 17, 1951 in Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Karl “Curt” Sr. and Thalia (June) Smith.  On August 26, 1972 she married Carl Fry, who survives. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Carol was a 1969 graduate of Muncy High School.  She previously worked at the former Sprout Bauer, now Andritz, Muncy and many years at the former Grumman Industries, Montgomery.  She later retired from the former EMF Industries, Williamsport.

She was of the Christian faith.

Carol was a member of the Roland Ritter American Legion Post 268 and the Edward J. Smith Post 3428 V.F.W., both of Muncy.  She was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow with the Muncy Rotary Club, where she also spent time in Ecuador helping children as well as providing eye glasses to those in need.

Carol was very artistic and loved painting, drawing, crocheting and making Christmas gifts and decorations.  She also enjoyed camping and going on cruises, especially to Magens Bay in St. Thomas.  The true light of her life was her granddaughter, Emma, who brought her such joy as she spent almost every day with her.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jamie Farrow, of Muncy; one stepdaughter, Kay Fry, of Muncy; one brother, Karl “Curt” Smith, Jr., of Muncy; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Dan McNeil, of Trout Run; and one granddaughter, Emma Rene Farrow.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Arlene Beechert, of First United Methodist Church, Muncy, officiating.

A graveside committal service will be held at 3:15 p.m. in Trout Run Cemetery, Lewis Township.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Carol’s memory be made to the Muncy Rotary Club, c/o Barb Morgan, 700 Schell Rd., Turbotville, PA 17772.
