Carolyn K. Hauck, 72, of Watsontown, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born July 23, 1942 in Lewisburg, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Wertman) Falls.  On December 1, 1961 she married Donald E. Hauck, who survives.  Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Carolyn was a 1960 graduate of Warrior Run High School. While in high school she worked at the former Noll's Restaurant, Watsontown.  Upon graduation Carolyn worked as a secretary for the former Philco-Ford, Watsontown for a short time. She then spent many years taking care of her family and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

She loved listening to country music and making and sending cards to people who she cared about. Another pastime of Carolyn’s was clipping newspaper articles/coupons, and painting various craft items. She also enjoyed playing cards and belonged to a card club years ago.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Todd E. and Terri Hauck, of Watsontown; one daughter, Wendy Shoemaker, of Watsontown; one brother, Harold E. "Bud" Falls, Jr., of Lewisburg; two sisters, Marilyn Mook and Debra Hastings, both of Watsontown; and three grandchildren, Chelsie B. Hauck and Kayla J. and Kane E. Shoemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one grandson, Seth Hauck and one brother-in-law, Michael Hastings.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon Friday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where a Funeral Service will be held at Noon with Pastor Shawn McNett, of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge, officiating.

Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.
