Carrie A. Weaver

Milton

Carrie A. Weaver, 84, of Milton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born December 18, 1940, in Northumberland, she was a daughter of the late John and Kloma (Mull) Hunt. 

Carrie attended Pine Knotter schools, where she was a majorette. She worked for the former Grants, Colonial Fair and Milton Shoe Factory earlier in life. Carrie would later retire from Cole’s Hardware, Lewisburg after 25 years.

She enjoyed camping, bowling, bingo, going to casinos to play slots and going on bus trips to New York. Carrie was an excellent baker, making fantastic wedding cakes.

Carrie’s faith was very important to her and loved going to church.

She cherished her cockatiel that she had for many years.

Surviving are her children, Cindy Jones and her husband, Forrest, of Mount Carmel, Roy “Butch” Weaver, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Northumberland and Faye Lepley and her husband, Raymond, of Milton; sister, Rachel Bingaman and her husband, Walter, of Northumberland; sister-in-law, Diane Hunt, of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren, Jamie Jones, Jillian Bastian and Brandy Ashton; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and her fur grandson, Snickers, who loved to visit her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by eight brothers, Charles, John, Leroy, Frank, Richard, George, Robert and Fred and one sister, Sarah “Sis” Earlston. 

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, January 13 at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1318 Susquehanna Trail Northumberland, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Alan Tucker, officiating. 

Private burial will be held in Montandon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1318 Susquehanna Trail Northumberland, PA 17857.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
