Cathy M. Shreck-Schley

Cathy M. Shreck-Schley, 48, of Muncy, died Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born March 3, 1974 in Montgomery, she was a daughter of Roy Shreck, of Hughesville and Jean (Gelnett) Hoffman, of Milton. On June 28, 2022 she married her long time companion, Brian K. Schley, who survives.

Cathy attended Montgomery High School and later in life received her diploma. She currently worked as an optometrist assistant at Crystal Vision Center, Williamsport for over nine years.

Cathy was a member of the Route 405 Church of God, Montgomery. She could make friends with anybody and loved helping people. Cathy was a social member of the Bower-Decker Post#251 American Legion, Montgomery. She loved sunflowers and enjoyed growing them in her yard. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are two sons, Dominic Scott Martin and Ryan Blake Patrick Schley, both of Montgomery; step mother, Ruth Shreck, of Hughesville; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Stacy Shreck and Keith and Shannon Shreck, all of Montgomery and Steve and Michelle Shreck, of Shamokin.

The family is planning a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Route 405 Church of God, 7008 Rt. 405 Highway, Montgomery, with her pastor, the Rev. Kevin Redesky, officiating. Cathy’s wish was for guests to wear bright colors and tie dye to her service. Friends are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at 1 p.m. at the New Mountain Tavern, Rt. 15, Montgomery.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
