Charles R. Reibsome

Charles R. Reibsome, 77, of Allenwood, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born December 25, 1938, in Sunbury, he was a son of the late Charles A. Reibsome and Betty J. (Dunham) Bridge.  On January 20, 1958, he married the former Mary Jane Heffner, who survives.  Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Charles worked for 23 years at the former Montgomery Mills until it closed.  He then worked for the Genetti Hotel, Williamsport and retired from the former North Star Steel, Milton.

He was a member of Elimsport United Methodist Church.

Charles belonged to the Sons of the American Legion, Watsontown.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.  Charles also loved time spent with his family, including traveling with his wife.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Duane" and Brenda Reibsome, of New Columbia and Roger L. and Ginger Reibsome, of Allenwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly J. and Rodney Anspach, of Allenwood and Crystal R. and James Criswell, of Watsontown; two brothers, William and David Reibsome, of Watsontown; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 State Rt. 44, Allenwood, where a Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with his minister, Pastor Michael Hill, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Charles' name be made to either the Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 State Rt. 44, Allenwood, PA 17810 or the Gatehouse. Please make checks payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation and mail to 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA17701.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
