Charles R. “Spank” Richart, 74, of Muncy, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at his home.
Born February 16, 1944 at 6:05 a.m., he was a son of the late Harold C. and Hilda Mae (Lyons) Richart.
Charles was a graduate of Muncy High School and went on to receive training to work as a nurse’s aide. He retired in 2004 from the Muncy Valley Hospital after 35 years of work. Charles also attended Barbazon School of Modeling in the 90’s.
Charles enjoyed walking and was frequently seen around Muncy. He also enjoyed watching and going to the movies, shopping, playing the lottery and caring for his cat, Tubby. Charles loved spending time with his family, especially a good meal around the holidays.
Surviving are one aunt, Audrey Martin, of Muncy; a lifelong friend, Linda Narber; and numerous nieces and nephews, including great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Ronald and Terry Richart; and one sister, Sara “Sally” Farrar.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 12 in Muncy Cemetery with the Rev. Robert W. Rice of Muncy Baptist Church, officiating.
The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired, contributions in his name may be made to the Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS), 195 Phillips Park Drive South Williamsport, PA 17702.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
