Charles E. Simmons, 85, of Milton, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born May 17, 1932 in Watsontown a son of the late Rev. Norman J. and Marguerite (Watson) Simmons.

He worked as a Bio Medical Engineer at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg, where he was responsible for maintenance of electronic medical equipment.

Charles formerly attended Watsontown United Methodist Church, where his father was the former pastor many years ago.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, David W. and MaryEllen Simmons, of South Lyon, Michigan; three grandchildren, Amy Simmons, Adam Simmons and Ashley Brusca; five great-grandchildren, Madelyn Sabot, Vincent Brusca, Milo Simmons, Rowan Simmons and Victoria Brusca; and his lifelong friend, Susan Hoffman, of Milton.

Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m.

Burial will be held privately in Watsontown Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or online at www.lung.org.
