Charles E. “Ed” Treibley Sr., 80, of 166 Bluejay Lane, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Allentown, a son of the late Milton and Florence (Beaver) Treibley. On Sept. 28, 1951, he married the former June Marie Dodd who preceded him in death May 6, 2014. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Ed was a graduate of Milton High School.

He worked as an electrical supervisor for Bucknell University for more than 30 years. Ed also had worked at ACF, Milton and the former JPM, Lewisburg.

He was a member of St Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.

Ed was a loyal member of the “Boys Club” at the Checkered Flag, Milton and a member of Central Pennsylvania Chapter National Railroad Historical Society.

He loved bowling, woodworking and being outdoors. Ed was an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Marie Englehart, of Montandon and Cindy and Bill Batdorf, of Watsontown; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one son, Charles “Ed” Treibley Jr.; one grandson, William Batdorf III; one sister, Mildred Smith: and three brothers, Milton, George and Kenneth Treibley.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with his pastor, the Rev. Judi A. Herrold, officiating, assisted by the Rev. John E. Lee, retired United Methodist pastor.

Burial will follow in Church Hill Cemetery at Twin Churches, Kelly Township.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Central PA Chapter NRHS, P.O. Box 145, White Deer, PA 17887, or to SUN Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857.
