Clarence L. (Dipper) O’Donnell, 93, of 123 E. Water St., Muncy, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Muncy Valley Hospital.
Born March 26, 1921, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was a son of the late Walter and Cara Mae (Wheeler) O’Donnell. On September 20, 1952, he married the former Geraldine M. Beck, who survives. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Dipper was a 1942 graduate of Muncy High School and a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He served honorably in the Military Police.
He retired from Sprout Bauer, now Andritz, after 38 years of service, where he worked in the plate room.
Clarence was a member of the Roland Ritter Post #268 American Legion, Muncy. He was also a member of the Muncy Lodge #299 F. & A.M., the Williamsport Consistory, and the Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Company. Clarence served as a school crossing guard and worked as a security officer for the Muncy School District.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing from his boat.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark Minier of Huntersville; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Eric Fessler and Nathan & Lindsey Minier; and three great grandsons, Chase, Carter and Camdon Minier.
Friends will be received at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, followed by a Masonic Service and then the funeral service. Officiating will be Pastor Rob McKenzie, of the Bible Baptist Church of Huntersville.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
