Clinton H. Staggert, 86, of Muncy, died Saturday, June 23, 2024 at Rose View Center, Williamsport.

Born March 26, 1938 in Montgomery, he was a the only son of the late Cyrus Gervase and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Staggert. On September 26, 1959 he married the former Betty Hill, who survives. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Clinton attended Williamsport schools. He served honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Clinton worked at Stroehmann Bakery, Williamsport for 10 years. He retired from the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, where he ran a drill press. Following retirement he worked for Bud Neidig for several years.

With a passion for socializing, Clinton was a lifetime member of the Edward J. Smith Post 3428 V.F.W., Muncy. He was also a member of the Roland Ritter American Legion Post 268, Muncy, the Republican Club, the Polish Club and the Zafar Grotto Rafaz Club, Williamsport. Clinton and his wife enjoyed camping at the Hidden Valley Campground, Mifflinburg for nearly 15 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Rodney Staggert, of Pennsdale; one sister, Roseanna Dantonio, of Allenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Eva Stryker, Margaret Ryan, Bertha Reynolds and Flo Campbell.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
