Craig M. Hoffman

January 26, 1959 — November 16, 2020

Craig M. Hoffman, 61, of Watsontown, died Monday, November 16, 2020, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on January 26, 1959 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Ronald and Shirley (Carlson) Hoffman, and grew up in Pittsburgh.  He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Bell) Hoffman. They married on July 1, 1989, and celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Craig was a graduate of Mount Lebanon High School and later earned his MA in Psychology from Duquesne University, both in Pittsburgh.

Craig fiercely fought his battle with MS, facing his challenges daily with courage, grace, and humor.  He touched the lives of all who met or knew him with his amazing spirit.  He spent his adult life caring for others, whether doing beach rescue in the Outer Banks, or providing counsel to those in need as a Psychotherapist.  His spirit will live on in all who were blessed to call him “friend.”

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Gabrielle Hoffman, of Watsontown; his sister, Kerry Hoffman, of Watsontown; his brother, Christian Hoffman, of Pittsburgh; and his stepmother, Linda Hoffman, of Pittsburgh.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the care and kindness Craig received over many years from staff at both Evangelical Community Hospital and Lewisburg Home Health.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests contributions in Craig’s memory be made to either Lewisburg Home Health, 55 N. 5th Street Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to Evangelical Community Hospital, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837, online at www.evanhospital.com.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St. Watsontown.
