Daniel R. Hill, 71, of Allenwood, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born December 24, 1942 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Clarence and Emma (Mann) Hill. On April 7, 1979 he married the former, Cathy Farley, who survives. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage.

Daniel attended Montgomery High School.  He worked at the former Grumman Industries, Montgomery, the former Sylvania, Montoursville and retired from Shop-Vac, Williamsport.

He was a member of Elimsport United Methodist Church.

Daniel enjoyed old cars, bowling and watching NASCAR.  He was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and former Brooklyn Dodgers.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Chad and Leanda Hill, both of Allenwood, Cathy Zondory, of Duboistown and Scott Hill, of Clarkstown; one brother, Clarence Hill, of Williamsport; two sisters, Esther Feaster and Norma Reich, both of Montgomery; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter in infancy, Vanna; five brothers and one sister.

The family is planning a celebration of life service to be held Wednesday, June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Elimsport United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 16145 State Rt. 44, Allenwood.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Elimsport Cemetery.

If so desired, memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be made to the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
