Dara Lee Bowen

Dara Lee Bowen, 74, of Turbotville, formerly of West Pittston, died on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at her home.

She was born December 27, 1949 in Scranton, the daughter of the late Robert and Nan (Cogliser) Bowen.

Dara worked as a switchboard operator for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for 42 years and currently worked for Geisinger Medical Center, Danville for the past 5 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and watching TV, especially Dr. Pol.

Most importantly, Dara’s pets were her life and loved all of her fur babies.

Surviving are her extended family, Sharyn Eisenhuth and her fur baby, Macy May; Gretchen and Alfred Jones and their children, Amanda and Miah Jones; Staci and Matthew Doebler and their children, Emily Wynn and Connor Doebler; and Stefanie and Deborah Hollenbach and their fur baby, Allie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
