David L. Blaker, 75, of Muncy, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born June 24, 1944 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Yarrison) Blaker. On Oct. 12, 1963 he married the former Carol L. Clark, who survives. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.
David was a graduate of Montoursville High School. Earlier in life, he worked for Harold Swisher on the garbage route. David worked as a lathe operator at the former Sprout Waldron’s, now Andritz, retiring in 2009 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
He loved antique shopping and visiting flea markets, especially collecting model ships. David was fond of putting jigsaw puzzles together and doing word search puzzles. He also enjoyed watching the Price is Right and football.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Connie Blaker, of Muncy, John and Linda Sue Blaker, of Montoursville and Terry and Leona Blaker, of Hughesville; a sister, Mary Alice Taylor, of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Adam and Amanda; and five great-grandchildren, Kenny, Adam, Sophia, Sabrina and Lilly and one on the way, Jade.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a great-grandson, Grayson.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at noon, with the Rev. Thomas Brokaw, UPMC Chaplain, officiating.
Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
