David L. Klinger

David L. Klinger, 76, of Montgomery, died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home.

Born December 22, 1947 in Montgomery, he was a son of the late Jack and Sarah (Cameron) Klinger.  He married the former Anna M. Sheatler, who preceded him in death November 5, 2018. Together they celebrated 44 years of marriage.

David was a 1965 graduate of Montgomery High School.  He served honorably with the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. David retired from the former M-B Company, Montgomery after 49 years.

He was a member of the Hughesville Friends Church.

David was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed playing games of all kinds with his family and taking trips to amusement parks. An avid sports enthusiast, David could be found rooting for Penn State, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Mets.

Surviving are four children, David W. Klinger, of Montoursville, Brenda Lee (Ronald) Sorenson, of CO, Scott E. Klinger, of Florida and Tammy Sue Snyder, of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Chastity, Ariel, Coral and Katie Klinger and Pattianne and Matthew Sorenson; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Tobias and Annabelle Rose Klinger.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one son in infancy, David Klinger Jr. and one brother, Robert Klinger.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held at a later date in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.
