David B. Wolfe

David B. Wolfe, 88, of 1105 Main St., Watsontown, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016.

He was born June 6, 1928 in Lycoming County, a son of the late Heber D. Wolfe and Margaret M. (Bryson) Snyder. He and his wife, the former Evelyn L. Schaeffer, celebrated 51 years of marriage before her death Sep. 13, 2009.

David served honorably with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He reenlisted with the Sea-Bees and the U.S. Air Force, serving honorably during the Korean War.

David enjoyed fishing, especially in the River. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who will always remember the ice cream soup and chip parties.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Lucinda Wolfe, of Virginia Beach, VA; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Diane Cuff, of Williamsport, Jean and William Kear, of Watsontown, Kathy and Harold LaForme, of Watsontown and Linda and Gregg Gehres, of Montoursville; one half brother, Fred Wolfe; one half sister, Donna Bixler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelia Merrill.

As per David's request, there will be no services.

Memorial contributions in David's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble Funeral Home, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
