Dennis R. Martin

Dennis R. Martin, 70, of Watsontown, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at his home.
He was born February 11, 1945 in Sunbury, the son of the late Robert H. and Larue M. (Stephenson) Martin. On February 15, 1992 he married the former Jayne S. Scrudders, who survives. Together they celebrated 23 years of marriage.
Dennis was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School. He worked for 15 years at M&T Bank as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (Delaware Run).
Dennis was also a member of the International Accounting Society, Certified Fraud Examiner's Association and a former president of the Watsontown Lion's Club. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Wynding Brook Golf Club, Milton. Dennis also enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Melissa Martin, of Cogan Station and Troy and Heike Martin, of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon & Richard Wood, of Terre Haute, IN; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey and Drew Martin; one great-grandchild, Sawyer Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
