Diane Louise Smith

Diane Louise Smith, 53, of 107 Van Horn Blvd., Muncy, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born August 27, 1961 in Binghamton, NY, she was a daughter of the late Kathryn (Buck) Gidzinski and Chester Gidzinski, who survives of Binghamton, NY.

Diane attended high school in Binghamton and the Ridley Lowell Business School, Binghamton, NY.

She attended the Evangelical Free Fellowship Church, Muncy, where she was active with the Kids Praise program.

Diane assisted with the operations of a children’s consignment shop in Muncy and was also well known for making pierogies. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and board games, working on all kinds of puzzles and spending time with her dog, Onyx. She had an appreciation for Scooby-Doo and loved mysteries in all forms.

Surviving in addition to her father are a son, Robert F. Smith, of Muncy; identical twin daughters, Rebecca A. and Victoria L. Smith, both of Muncy; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Michael Cushner, of Binghamton, NY; and two nephews, Michael and Kevin Cushner.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, and again from 11 a.m. to Noon Saturday where the funeral will be held at Noon Saturday, with her minister, Rev. Matthew Meeder, officiating.

An additional memorial service will be held at All Saints Church, 42 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, NY 13790 on Saturday November 15 at Noon.  Friends will be received prior to the service from 11 a.m. to Noon.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, PA 17756 to help the family with funeral costs.
