D. LaRue Glenn, 99, of 29 Ninth St., Jersey Shore died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.

Born April 2, 1917 in Tyrone she was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Lavina M. (Miller) Miller. She and her husband, Clifford “Tippy” Glenn, were married 61 years before his death January 25, 1997.

LaRue attended Lock Haven High School. She previously worked at Snowiss Fur Company, Lock Haven for many years.

LaRue was a member of the Great Island Presbyterian Church, Lock Haven, where she taught Sunday school and served as elder.

She enjoyed reading but most of all LaRue loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are two grandsons, Eric C. Glenn and his wife, Kelly, of Jersey Shore and Chris H. Glenn and his wife, Vanessa, of Linden; a granddaughter, Dawn M. Reynolds and her husband, Edward, of Barberton, OH; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Glenn, Rebecca Glenn, Daniel Glenn, Katy Leise and Matthew Leise; and one great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Glenn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dana H. Glenn.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, with her minister, Pastor Taylor Camerer, officiating.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, where a graveside service will be held at 12:45 p.m.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Great Island Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 434, Lock Haven, PA 17745 or to the First Baptist Church, 210 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
