Donald A. Allen, 73, of 16 Bruner St., Muncy, died Monday, March 28, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born October 18, 1942 in Rochester, NY, he was a son of the late Robert Allen and Margaret (Egan) McQuilken, of Le Roy, NY. On June 20, 1987, he married the former Sharon Boyer. Together they celebrated 29 years of marriage.
Don was a graduate of Pavilion High School, New York.
He worked as a Pennsylvania State Constable for 20 years and later retired from Muncy Area School District as Head of Security.
Don was an active member of the Muncy Youth Commission, Pennsylvania State Constable Association, Keystone Sportsmen’s Association and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are his children, Chari (Ken) Rowell, of Hope Mills, NC, Stacey Jannetty, of Navarre, FL, Tammy (Greg) Wenner, of Williamsport, Robert (Suzanne) Allen, of Fayetteville, NC and Krista (Jeff) Sampsell, of Muncy; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Janice Allen, of Pavilion NY; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his faithful canine companion, Kara.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by one daughter, Mary Lin Allen.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
