Donald G. Fullmer, 93, of Muncy, formerly of Williamsport, embraced our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport.
Born April 23, 1931 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Walter E. Sr. and Barbara E. (Straub) Fullmer. On September 8, 1948 he married the former Betty J. Hunter. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage until her passing on May 6, 2018.
Donald grew up in the wonderful neighborhood of Garden View during The Great Depression. This left a lasting impression on him. Donald worked at his parent’s grocery store, Fullmer’s Market, on Lycoming Creek Road, Avco and Bethlehem Steel, where he was known as “Grey Feathers”. He was a humble, hard-working man with many talents. Donald especially enjoyed woodworking and using his computer and tablet into his 90’s. He loved Limburger cheese sandwiches with onion and his homemade sausage. Donald was a former member of the Church of the Savior, Williamsport.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan M. (Stephen) Hunter, of Montoursville and Linda D. (Will) Murray, of Turbotville; a son, Timothy M. Fullmer, of Muncy; four grandchildren, Crystal (Tim) Millard, Stephen Hunter Jr. (Alison), Adam (Margaux) Murray and Aaron (Miranda) Murray; and nine great-grandchildren, Ethan and Abbey Millard, Seth and Logan Hunter, Cali, Rigby, Indigo, Pierce and Griffin Murray.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Fullmer II and John Fullmer; and two sisters, Eleanor Pfaff and Thelma Fullmer.
The family would like to thank the staff in the 100 Hall at the Williamsport Home for the excellent care of their father.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 in Wildwood Cemetery, East side, with Pastor Ken Paulhamus, of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton, officiating.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Donald’s name be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
