Donna L. Cox, 70, of Montgomery, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at home with her family by her side.

Born April 18, 1954 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Emma (Buchalter) Woll.

Donna was a graduate of Danville Area High School. She loved serving others through her passion of cooking her entire life. She spent time working at the Muncy Valley Hospital, Pine Barn Inn, Cracker Barrel, Howard Johnson and Dave’s Family Restaurant. Donna was also co-owner of Cox’s market, Danville.

She formerly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Danville.

Donna was an avid reader, an excellent embroiderer and loved to watch horror movies. She especially enjoyed playing scrabble with her friends and family Beyond cooking, she also loved her Cocker Spaniels, leaving behind Ellie and Tucker. Donna loved all things purple and lavender. She also enjoyed her nightly phone calls with Grammy, Miz and John.

Surviving are four children, Louis Charles Cox, of Montgomery, Michael John Cox (Lisa Grim), of Phoenix, AZ, Donald Charles Cox, of Unityville, and Catherine Elizabeth Cox, of Montgomery; four siblings, Jody Wenzel (Michael), of Danville, Timothy Woll (Linda), of Danville, John Woll (Theresa), of Bloomsburg, and Mary Hackenberg (Bill), of Muncy; four grandchildren, Rhena Sechrist, Riley Cox, Madison Cox, and Peyton Cox; two great-grandchildren; her former husband of 24 years, Lou Cox Sr; and nieces and nephews who brought great joy to her life.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Alvin Rhoads; significant other, Jake Gray; and her Aunt Miz.

A Celebration of Donna’s life is being planned midsummer at R.B. Winter State Park (Halfway Dam), where she loved the memories made, and time shared with family.
