Donna M. Middlesworth, 85, lifelong resident of Montgomery, died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born July 18, 1939 in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Esther (King) Bower. On December 12, 1959 she married William R. Middlesworth. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage before his death Aug. 16, 2018.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Montgomery High School. She worked at several local manufacturing firms including the former Montgomery Mills and Carey-McFalls. Donna retired from Trimtex, Montgomery. Outgoing and social, she missed the camaraderie that came along with employment, so Donna worked for the next 17 years at Weis Markets, Montgomery, retiring just a few months ago at the age of 84.
She was a member of Maple Hill United Methodist Church, Montgomery.
Surviving are a son, William R. “Bill” Middlesworth, Jr., of Montgomery; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Matter, of Carlisle; sister, Gloria King, of Danville; three grandchildren, William R. Middlesworth, III, Allison Matter and Logan Matter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy M. Middlesworth and a brother, Franklin Bower.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, September 6, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at noon with Pastor Josh Wallace, of Watsontown Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
