Donna L. Minard, 70, of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully Friday, September 30, 2016 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.
She was born August 8, 1946 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Paul William and Florence Annabelle (Musser) Mabus. On Sept. 28, 1968, she married Charles Minard and they celebrated 28 years of marriage before his death on October 23, 1996.
Donna was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and received her associate’s degree from Pennsylvania Technical College. She worked as a human resources administrator at the former Furman Foods, now Furmano’s, Northumberland.
She was a member of Christ’s Lutheran Church, Lewisburg.
Donna enjoyed camping and spending time at the beach.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Andy and Cristi Minard, of Marietta, GA and Aaron Minard, of Bethany Beach, DE; her companion, Jerry Mitchell, and his children, Ashley, Megan and Dalton, all of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, McKenzie, Drew and Will, of Marietta, GA; and one aunt, Arlene Boyer, of Mifflinburg.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 29 at the Lewisburg Cemetery columbarium, with the Pastor Steve Middernacht, officiating.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or online by filling out the donation form at http://www.evanhospital.com/services/hospice.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
