Dorothy Louise Buss

Dorothy Louise Buss, 92, of Muncy, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at her home.

Born May 12, 1924 in Muncy she was a daughter of the late Lester and Charlotte (Evans) Schooley. She married Francis H. Buss, who preceded her in death Aug. 10, 1964.

Dorothy worked at the former Montgomery Mills until its closing, then worked at the former Lysock View for over 10 years until her retirement.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Clarkstown.

Dorothy enjoyed reading and putting together jig saw puzzles. Earlier in life she loved baking and canning.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Mary Buss, of Florida, Richard and Donna Buss, of Williamsport and Randy and Cindy Buss, of Muncy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and William Ikelar, of McEwensville and Roxanne Buss and Richard Aikens, of Muncy Valley; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Marge Schooley, of Danville; a sister, Mildred Hans, of Muncy; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, Lester Buss; four brothers, Ralph, Carl and Lee Schooley and George Schooley in infancy; and two sisters, Betty Lou Treese and Jean Schooley in infancy.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2041 St. Rt. 442, Clarkstown, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with her pastor, the Rev. Beverly D. Cotner, officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
