Dorothy M. Yannaccone

Dorothy M. Yannaccone, 100, of Watsontown, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the home where she resided for almost 70 years.

Dorothy was born in Reading, PA on March 15, 1924, to George and Margaret (Knouse) Cox.  She graduated from Reading High School in 1941 and Lebanon Valley College in 1944.

Dorothy married Dr. Robert Yannaccone in July 1948 and they were married for almost 66 years before his passing in May 2014.

Being a stay-at-home mom, she remained in the family home.  Her family was her whole life.  She enjoyed the outdoors by hiking, walking or riding her bicycle.

Dorothy is survived by four sons, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her eldest son, Robert W., in 2023.

Funeral and private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Watsontown Cemetery.
