Doyle L. Ranck

August 28, 1950 — December 30, 2017

Doyle L. Ranck, 67, of 160 Nancy Lane, New Columbia, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born August 28, 1950 in Muncy, a son of the late Forrest H. and Betty L. (Klinefelter) Ranck. On July 25, 1970 he married the former Ruth Shreck, who survives. Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage.

Doyle was a 1968 graduate of Warrior Run High School. He worked as a machinist for 33 years at ACF, Milton, before retiring.

Doyle was a member of First United Methodist Church, Montgomery. He was also a member of the Bower-Decker Post #251 American Legion, Montgomery and the Loyal Order of Moose #171, Milton.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Megan Ranck, of Palisade, CO; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Daniel Ranck, of Virginia Beach, VA, Donald and Robyn Ranck, of Allenwood and Dwayne and Sharon Ranck, of Montgomery; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dierdre and Ronnie Combs, of LaPorte, IN.

Friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, at the First United Methodist Church, 41 W. Houston Ave., Montgomery, where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. with his minister, Pastor Chris Long, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Doyle’s name be made to the First United Methodist Church, 41 W. Houston Ave., Montgomery, PA 17752.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
