Dr. Naresh C. Nagpal, 65, of Muncy, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport surrounded by his family.
Born December 15, 1950 in Delhi, India, he was a son of the late Aya Ram and Bhajan Devi (Wadhwa) Nagpal. On May 26, 1983, he married the former Dr. Anita Jaggi, who survives. Together they celebrated 33 years of marriage.
Naresh graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India. He continued his residency in general surgery at Youngstown Hospital in Ohio and later the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre. Naresh practiced at the Muncy Valley Hospital from July of 1985 until 2014.
In his spare time, Naresh loved spending time with his family and friends. He was especially known for his presence on the dance floor at any event.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a two daughters, Nikita Nagpal, who is a pediatric resident in California; and Neha Nagpal, who is attending medical school in New York; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Harish Nagpal, Satish and Babita Nagpal and Ramesh and Asha Nagpal, all of India; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lalit and Neelam Jaggi, of India.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m.
A memorial service will also be held from 4-5 p.m. Thursday July 28th at the Walnut Conference Room, 3rd Floor Susquehanna Health Tower, 700 High Street, Williamsport.
The family welcomes flowers, however if desired memorial contributions may be made to either the Muncy Valley Hospital, 215 E. Water St., Muncy, PA 17756 or to the Gatehouse, make check payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation and mail to 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
