Edward J. Costello

Edward J. Costello, 92, of Muncy, died Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Heritage Springs, Muncy.

Born June 22, 1932 in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late John H. and Mary E. (Morris) Costello. 

Ed was fond of expanding his knowledge and earned a bachelors from Rutgers University, a Masters of Theology from Crozer Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Penn State University. 

He worked at the Williamsport Community Health Center as a clinical psychologist. Ed also moderated several local churches during his career. 

In addition to being active is various church choirs, Ed was extremely active in the community theatre, civic chorus, and the Gentlemen Songsters. 

In 2018 he married the former Judith (Cole) Youngman, together they lived on Sherman street in Muncy, until her death Oct. 20, 2023.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Terri Costello, of Littleton, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Joe Selby, of Carrollton, TX; a sister, Margaret McConnell, of Belvidere, NJ; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 on Saturday, April 19th at Grenoble Funeral Home, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
