Elizabeth V. "Betty" Walker

Elizabeth V. “Betty” Walker, 99, of Williamsport, died on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Williamsport Home.

She was born June 30, 1921 in Hagerstown, MD. On November 26, 1944 she married the Rev. Fred Walker, who preceded her in death December 11, 2005. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Early in life, Betty worked for the former Gable’s Department Store, Altoona. She was also the consummate minister’s wife; accompanying Fred to Africa on mission’s trips, where both of their children would be born.

When able, she would attend Pine Street United Methodist Church, Williamsport and was a faithful attendee of services at the Williamsport Home.

Betty was incredibly faithful, religious and loved to read her bible.

Surviving are one son, David Walker, of Muncy; six grandchildren, Ian, Aaron, Sia, Jesse, Arie and Rodman Walker and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Richard A. Walker and two brothers.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Mazeppa Union Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
