E. Louise Royer, 85, of New Columbia, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born July 8, 1930 in Danville, a daughter of the late Helen (Boyer) DeWako. On July 28, 1950 she married Russell C. Royer, who preceded her in death on April 28, 2014.  Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Louise was a 1948 graduate of Danville High School.  She worked many years as a waitress at the former Bechtel's Dairy, Lewisburg.  She also worked part-time for the former Martin's Flower Shop, later Scott's Floral, Lewisburg.

She was a former member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, where she was active with the Prayer Shawl committee.

Louise was a member of the Red Hat Society and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  She enjoyed ceramics and teaching porcelain painting.  Louise loved to sew and was well-known for her doll collection.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Mary Royer, of New York, one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Kenneth Yost, of Milton; four grandchildren, Kelley Carr, Lucas Yost, Seth Yost and Michael MacKnight; and four great-grandchildren, Gabriel Yost, Colin Carr, Ashley Carr and Ryland Yost.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Dr. Teresa Royer MacKnight; one grandson, Jason Royer; one great-grandson, Cole Yost; and one sister, Marlene Herman.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
