Frederick Roy Foster, III, 38 of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home.
Born December 30, 1985 in Newark, NJ, he was a son of Frederick R. Jr. and Mary R. (Mortimer) Foster.
Fred was a 2004 graduate of Montgomery Area High School and a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. He worked as a graphic designer in New York for a few years before moving back to PA. Fred was recently employed by the Print Shop and was a freelance graphic designer.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Williamsport. Fred was very outgoing and organized the “Lycoming Out Day” for Lycoming County LGBT Group. He captivated any room he walked into. Fred adored his niece and nephews and loved spending time with them.
Surviving in addition to his parents, of Montgomery, are a brother, Derrick (Brooke) Foster, of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Veronica Foster, of Montgomery; one niece and five nephews, Carson, Derrick Jr., Braelyn, Maverick, Hunter and Cooper; his paternal grandmother, Roberta “Bonnie” Foster, of Hamlin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frederick Foster, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Agnes Mortimer; and an aunt, Donna Botjer.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Light of Christ Church, 2067 Moosic Lake Rd., Mt. Cobb, PA 18436, where a Celebration of Life will be held at noon. A reception will follow the service.
A second Celebration of Life will be held at Christ’s Church, Williamsport and announced at a later date.
